Madera County and Tommyhawk Pageant
For many years now, the Chowchilla Fair has kicked off their festivities with the Miss Madera County, Little Miss Madera County and Tommyhawk Pageant. This pageant is held in the Park on the Wednesday before the Fair opening. The 2010 pageant will be held on Wednesday, May 12 at 7:00 p.m.
Young ladies, ages 16 to 19, from all over the county vie for the title of Miss Madera County at this pageant which has been a part of Fair tradition for over 40 years. Little girls ages 6 - 9 enjoy sharing the stage as they compete for the Little Miss Madera County crown and sash. Both of these title holders will enjoy acting as ambassadors during the Fair. Young men ages 6 to 9 have the opportunity to be named this year's Tommyhawk, who is the special leader of the Spring Festival Parade every year.
2010 Applications
Applications are available now. Please be aware that space is limited and fills up fast. Applicants will be accepted with a completed application on a first-come-first-served basis only.
