Things You Need To Know!

GATE ADMISSION CHANGES: We will begin charging at the gate as of Wednesday. For those who will be attending our Livestock Shows, you can purchse our Season Pass online if you will be attending multiple days or a single day Livestock Show discounted ticket available for the Wednesday and Thursday shows. These tickets will only be valid until Thursday, May 7th at 3pm.

MANDATORY

All 4-H Clubs, FFA Chapters and Independent Exhibitors are required to help at the Livestock Auction on Saturday, May 09, 2026.

Any Club/Chapter/Independent Exhibitor who fails to complete their assigned slotted time will be fined $200.00 and will also be required to complete 16 hours of community service at the fairgrounds in order to participate in the 2027 Chowchilla-Madera County Fair. Fines must be paid by the conclusion of the 2026 Chowchilla-Madera County Fair or finance charges will accrue. Community Service is to be preformed in April 2027 at the Chowchilla-Madera County Fairgrounds. Any fines/community service not completed will result in that Club/Chapter/Independent Exhibitors ineligibility to participate in the 2027 Livestock Auction. NO EXCEPTIONS

Livestock RV Parking and Livestock Vehicle Parking

Trailer/Camper: Non-Hook-up camp sites will be $200.00 for the week of Fair. Spaces are limited and are on a first come basis. If we receive your application after we have reached our maximum number of space, you will be contacted and placed on a waiting list. Trailers must arrive on Sunday, May 3rd between 9:00 am – 4:00 pm, no exceptions. Please do not submit an application if you are unable to make arrangements for your trailer to arrive that day. Sites will be assigned as you pull in, so if you want to camp next to or close to family or friends you must arrive together. Camp sites are limited and fill up quickly so be sure to submit your completed application and payment for you site early. Anyone under 19 years of age must be supervised by an adult at all times.

Vehicle Parking: The Livestock Parking area is located at the west end of the Ag Pavilion nearest Road 16. A limited number of spaces are available for purchase in the amount of $115.00. This includes the parking space for one vehicle and admission for one driver. Livestock parking is from Tuesday, May 5th - Saturday, May 9th.

Beef Heifer Program Information

2026 MARKET STEER EXHIBITORS

Exhibitors intending to show a MARKET STEER at the 2026 Chowchilla-Madera County Fair must submit the following no later than Sunday, January 4th:

1. Decleration of Intent to Show Form.

2. Bill of Sale. If the steer was bred by the owner please submit a statement in lieu of the Bill of Sale.


3. Two pictures. One head shot and one side view of your steer. Be sure the ear tag and exhibitor are visible in both shots.

Ear tags can be picked up starting Monday, December 01, 2025 by the exhibitor, parent, or leader at the Chowchilla Fair Office. Pictures and Bill of Sale must be emailed to livestock@chowchillafair.org no later than January 04, 2026.

Office hours are Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm and close from approximately 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm for lunch. The Office will be closed December 24th, 25th, 26th, 31st and January 1st.
