Miss Madera County Scholorship Program

The Miss Madera County Scholarship Program is a longstanding local tradition presented by the Chowchilla-Madera County Fair. Under our official partnership with the Miss America Organization and Miss California Organization, we provide young women across Madera County with opportunities to secure higher education scholarships, hone public speaking and leadership abilities, and drive meaningful community impact.

Age Divisions & Eligibility
We offer three distinct divisions tailored to empower young women at every stage:
Miss Madera County: Ages 18–28 (must meet Miss America Organization residency and age guidelines)
Miss Madera County’s Teen: Ages 13–18
Madera County Minis: Mentorship program for younger participants to gain stage experience and confidence.

Core Qualifications:
  • Must reside, work full-time, or attend school in Madera County.
  • Committed to community service and personal development.
Competition Pillars Contestants prepare across key areas designed to highlight their individuality, intelligence, and community focus:
  • Community Service Initiative (CSI): Present a dedicated personal cause or community project.
  • Interview: Share your goals, vision, and passion directly with our panel of judges.
  • Talent / On-Stage Presentation: Showcase your unique artistic skill or performing talent.
  • Evening Wear & On-Stage Question: Exhibit poise, confidence, and articulation under pressure.
